Family and Friends
Echoing what has been said by many others on the team, I am endlessly grateful for the people in my life! Between my supportive parents, 2 older siblings, and a crew of cousins and friends, I think I've hit the jackpot.
Exercise
As a physiotherapist, I gravitate towards most forms of exercise! Whether it is weight training in the gym, a hot yoga class, a bike ride outside, or more recently learning to snowboard, I love to keep moving. Many of my friends are like this too, and we love to do an exercise class together and grab a coffee or gelato afterward!
Running
When I was in physiotherapy school at Queen's, I broke my 5th metacarpal. 1 closed reduction, 1 cast, and a few splints later, I found myself restricted in my usual gym activities. While rehabbing, I started to run. A temporary solution to complete some exercise became something that I fell in love with. I have grown to appreciate the simplicity of throwing on my running shoes and getting outside. More recently I've even started getting into half marathons!
Travel
Growing up in competitive gymnastics, I was fortunate to travel to many places in Canada and the States. Competing with Team Ontario brought me to Florida, Arizona and Newfoundland, and a few other gymnastics competitions brought me to Montreal, Las Vegas, and Chicago! Europe is also a favourite spot of mine, and my travel list grows every day!
Activities
A broad category, but I thrive off of a busy Google Calendar and lots of activities on the go. As a very social person, I fill up most of my free time finding things to do with friends. With activities ranging from exploring a new board game cafe to trivia nights, or catching a Blue Jays game, I'm usually down for anything!
